Thomas Henry McGrath, III, 68, beloved husband of Pamela (Black) McGrath, died peacefully, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Beverly Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Thomas H. McGrath and Ann (Bagley) McGrath. He is predeceased by his brother, Dennis McGrath.

Tom grew up in Peabody nad graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1969 aboard the USS Pawcawtuck and USS Wacamaw. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts. He also studied at Boston University.
Mr. McGrath was employed as a senior manager in the computer manufacturing industry for many years. Most recently he was working as an assistant at L’Arche community in Haverhill, as a care giver for adults with intellectual disabilities. Tom’s kindness and good humor will be missed by all who knew him.

Tom loved spending time with his family. His daughters Lauren and Katie and their families were the light of his life. Big Papa will be missed forever by his beloved grandchildren Nathaniel, Jonathan, Rose and Murray.
In addition to his wife, Pam, with whom he shared 20 years of marriage, he is survived by two daughters and sons in law,Lauren and Timothy Shaw of Abington, PA and their sons Nathaniel and Jonathan and Katie McGrath and Mark Stevensof Wilton, NH and their daughter Rose and son Murray and his former spouse Linda Nekoroski of NH, along with aunts, cousins,, nieces and nephews in Nantucket, MA.
Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to L’Arche Irenicon,, PO Box 1177, Haverhill, MA 01831 or a charity of your choice.
