One-Year-Old Locks Himself in Car Outside of CVS

The following is an excerpt from the Peabody Police Department activity logs:
Monday, July 15
- 3:47 p.m. a caller reported a 19 month old child locked inside a motor vehicle at the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street. The lock-in was accidental by the child with no apparent malicious circumstances. Peabody Fire Department staff opened up the car door.Â
- 4:02 p.m. a caller reported that he was the victim of a scam in front of Sears. A man had said he would sell two televisions to the caller, who gave the man $7,200 and never aw him or the televisions again.Â
- 5:17 p.m. a branch on a wire was reported on Lynn Street. The Public Works Department was notified.Â
- 5:46 p.m. a woman at McDonald's on Main Street reported a couple of youths fighting in the parking lot. The kids were gone on the arrival of an officer.Â
- 9 p.m. a caller reported four youths bullying a younger child on Holten Street. They moved down Holten towards Main Street. An officer could not locate the youths.
Tuesday, July 16
- 7:02 a.m. a caller reported a homeless man camping along the bike path.Â
- 8:53 a.m. a caller reported finding a hypodermic needle on Theresa Road.Â
- 11:33 a.m. a beligerent caller was harassing Peabody Police staff by misrepresenting himself as a federal investigator.Â
