Overdrive To Play Peabody Concert Series Sunday

PEABODY, MA – Overdrive will play dance music from the past three decades on Sunday as part of Peabody's annual summer concert series.

The concert with the eight-piece band starts at 6 p.m. at the Leather City Common. Ipswich Ale Brewery will be back this week to sell beer.

Overdrive features the vocal talents of their lead singer and percussionist, Dick Girard and guitarist Rod Begin, with additional lead vocals by bassist Carl Hynes and keyboard master Larry Novak. The "heart" of Overdrive is their crowd-pleasing horn section. Along with a powerful sound, these guys also like to have fun and will bring the audience right along with them. Don’t be surprised to see the horn section out mingling with the crowd.
