Overnight Lane Closures On Route 1 In Lynnfield, Peabody
The state Department of Transportation said repaving work will begin from the Saugus line to Forest Street in Peabody on Sunday.
PEABODY, MA — Overnight construction work on Route 1 will bring lane closures from the Lynnfield/Saugus line to Forest Street in Peabody starting Sunday night.
The work is part of an $11 million Route 1 pavement project scheduled to run through Spring 2023.
The work will take place both northbound and southbound from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday with occasional Friday night work.

The state Department of Transportation said at least one lane will be open in both directions while milling, paving, sidewalk, wheelchair accessibility, drainage, guardrail, median repair and pavement marking work is done.
Signs, message boards and temporary detours will be used to inform drivers of the closures and manage the work zones.
