Peabody Assault Allegedly Occurred Over Snapchat Dispute
A Peabody man was charged with assault and battery with injury after he was seen "disciplining" his daughter over Snapchat use.
PEABODY, MA – Sean Nguyen, 31, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with injury and strangulation after a witness saw Nguyen allegedly "discipline" his daughter over a disagreement with her using Snapchat.
According to Peabody Police Captain Dennis Bonaiuto, Peabody Police received a call from Salem Police on Saturday night about a possible crime that happened in Peabody.
"The reporting party stated that the victim, who is an 11-year-old girl, was disciplined by her father, and it had something to do with a disagreement over her using Snapchat," said Bonaiuto. "This witness felt the father went too far with the discipline."

Nguyen was picked up by another agency on a warrant earlier this week.
