Peabody Cancels School, Declares Snow Emergency For Tuesday
With a second round of snow headed our way, Peabody will limit on-street parking to help crews clear roads.

PEABODY, MA — Peabody Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 3. Trash will not be collected in Peabody Tuesday, as officials expect crews to be busy cleaning up from Monday night's forecast storm. Trash collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week (Tuesday collection on Wednesday, Wednesday collection on Thursday, etc.).
The city will also put a snow emergency in effect at 7 p.m. Monday night. During a snow emergency, parking is prohibited on city streets.
JRM will not pick up trash and recycling Tues. Tuesday's trash pickup will be Wednesday, rest of week operates on a 1-day delay. Parking ban reinstated at 7pm this evening, Monday, December 2nd. Please remove all parked cars from roadways by 7pm to avoid ticketing and towing.
