Peabody Girl Part Of Celtics Broadcast During Game
Sophia Simeone, 11, of Peabody is the winner of the Arbella Celtics Jr. Broadcaster contest.

PEABODY, MA—Sophia Simeone, 11, from Peabody recently received the thrill of a lifetime after winning the Arbella Celtics Jr. Broadcaster contest.
As a winner, Sophia was able to join the Celtics live radio broadcast on 98.5 The Sports Hub, and was interviewed pregame on NBC Sports Boston. She was also given a behind the scenes tour during the March 8 game against Oklahoma City.
Winners were selected based on their video submissions.

In Sophia's video, she said she was confident she had what it took to be a junior broadcaster.
"I like to talk to a variety of different people, which means I could interview the players and the fans," she said in her video. "I enjoy being a reporter because I am a well-rounded person, and I understand the game and what it takes to be a hard-working person, and how to take advantage of every opportunity I get."

Sophia was one of three winners. The complete list is below:
- March 8 vs. OKC: Sophia Simeone, age 11 from Peabody, MA
- March 13 vs. WAS: Bobby Nevola, age 14 from Burlington, MA
- March 29 vs. MIN: Hunter Smith, age 11 from Franklin, MA
The three winners receive: Four loge level tickets for a Celtics home game this season, a pregame photo opportunity on the court for the four ticketholders, the opportunity for the prize winner to attend the Celtics pre-game and post-game press conferences, a Celtics t-shirt and notepad, a tour of The Auerbach Center at New Balance World Headquarters.
