Peabody Launches Summer Eats Program For Kids, Teens

The program, which begins this week, offers five grab-and-go lunches per week.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Summer Eats program for children and teens ages 2 to 18 begins this week.

Kids and teens can get five free to-go lunches each week with pick-up days on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The children do not need to be present when the meals are picked up.

Citizens Inn Haven from Hunger is once again hosting the program this year. The program aims to fill the nutrition gap between academic years for low-income kids, particularly those who rely on federal child nutrition programs during the school year.
