Peabody Mayor To Host Ceremony Recognizing Foster Parents
A ceremony on Wednesday will honor Peabody foster parents.

PEABODY, MA – Mayor Ted Bettencourt will recognize local foster parents for their outstanding dedication to children in the community at a ceremony on Wednesday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at City Hall.
"This month we celebrate those who have opened their homes and their hearts to children in need," said Bettencourt. "Every child deserves a safe and supportive family and foster parents provide a secure and nurturing environment that is essential for a successful start in life."
The ceremony coincides with National Foster Care Month which recognizes foster families as well as those who have dedicated their careers to serving America’s foster youth. During Wednesday’s ceremony, Mayor Bettencourt will present a special citation recognizing the critical role of local foster parents. The ceremony is open to the public.
