Peabody Native Mara Stein to Appear as Annie in Annie Jr.

Mara Stein a 6th grader from Peabody, has been cast as Annie in Marblehead Little Theatre’s upcoming production of Annie Jr. Mara has been performing in theaters around the North Shore since she was 5 years old. Her favorite performance was most recently as Jojo in North Shore Music Theatre’s production of Seussical the Musical Jr. this past summer. She has also played various leads and ensemble parts in Wizard of Oz, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Annie,The Sound of Music, The Lion King, Bye Bye Birdie, and Mulan. This spring, she won an Annie-for-a-Day vocal contest at the North Shore Mall in Peabody. In her spare time between school and shows she sings the National Anthem at professional sporting events and competes in triathlons. Annie is her all time favorite show and part.

Annie Jr. will take place at The Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St. in Marblehead. Performance dates are: December 7, 8, 15 & 16 at 7:00pm and December 9, 10, 16 & 17 at 3:00pm. Ticket prices are $15 for students and $20 for adults.
