Peabody Police Department Receives Donation from Eaves Peabody

Police Department accepts donations of "Trouble the Dog"plush toys from Eaves Avalon Apartments for first responders to give to children

On September 24, 2020, the Peabody Police Department accepted donations of "Trouble the Dog”plush toys from the Eaves Avalon Apartments in Peabody and The Kennek Foundation of Marblehead. Eaves Peabody facilitated the donation, working with Sheila Duncan, founder of The Kennek Foundation, as a way to support the community. The Kennek Foundation provides comfort to children in crisis with the help of the character, Trouble the Dog and the affiliated plush dogs and children's books. Trouble the Dog will be utilized by first responders in Peabody to give to children in the event of an accident, fire, domestic situation, or other emergency.

On social media, the Peabody Police Department noted, "A special thank you to Sheila Duncan and The Kennek Foundation for resupplying us with “Trouble the Dog”. This was made possible by a generous donation from the Eaves Avalon Apartments in Peabody. These plush dogs will be given to children that we encounter during stressful events."
