Peabody Resident Receives "Outstanding First-Year Student Award"
Kaitlin Gorman of Quinnipiac University was presented this award at the yearly "Undergraduate Awards Ceremony."

Kaitlin Gorman, a Peabody High School graduate of 2019, received the “Outstanding First Year Student Award” at Quinnipiac University. She was chosen for this award from approximately 1,700 students in her class. Qualifications for this award include being a first-year Quinnipiac student who has at least a 3.0 GPA, being engaged in multiple co-curricular activities, experiencing demonstrable personal growth since arriving at the university, and measurably impacting the Quinnipiac community. Kaitlin is a nursing major and was on the Dean’s list her first semester of college. She is currently the Vice President of her class, which involves creating initiatives that better the student body. Kaitlin is also involved in her sorority, is a member of the student nursing association, and works at the Student Health Center. Overall, Kaitlin’s academic excellence and involvement within the university is what earned her this award.
