Peabody School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Peabody is September 5 for grades 1-12, September 8 for kindergarten and September 11 for preschool. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Peabody Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/8: First Day of Kindergarten
• 9/11: First Day of Pre-K

• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/26: Elementary Early Release

November

• 11/2: Higgins Early Release
• 11/7: No School for Students (Professional Development)
• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/22: Half Day
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/6: Early Release for Students (Professional Development)
• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (December Vacation)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/15: No School (MLK Day)
• 1/31: Early Release for Students (Professional Development)
