Peabody Student Wins College Scholarship

PEABODY, MA – The Greater Boston Plumbing Contractors Association awarded Erika Furtado of Peabody one of its 2017 college scholarships.

The awards are given annually to children of families who work for union plumbing and heating companies in the Greater Boston area.

"We put a great value on supporting the families who work for our union contractors," said Hugh Kelleher, executive director of the association. "We are very proud that this year we were able to give out over $30,000 to deserving students from our employees' families."

Furtado is Joe and Lucey Furtado's daughter, of TG Gallgher. She attends Southeastern University.
