Peabody Students Earn Honors At Findlay, Hartford, Lasell, Ohio
These Peabody students were among those earning academic or athletic distinction.
PEABODY, MA — Lindsey Kouroyen and Sarah Lake, education majors at Lasell University, were among the Peabody students recently honored for academic or athletic achievement at schools across the country.
Kouroyen was awarded professional badges from the Harvard Agile Teacher Lab for their success in "using equitable academic discussions in virtual classrooms."
Kouroyen earned the Learn Equity Badge and the Share Equity Bad. Lake earned the Learn Equity Badge.

Participation in the program was part of an effort to provide Lasell Universty students who are studying education with the opportunity to continue practicum-style teaching practice via coached, simulated environments during the pandemic.
Through the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Lasell students were able to access and become certified via the Agile Teacher Badge System.

"The future of teacher preparation is taking a look at how institutions can collaborate to address equity and inclusion in our schools," Professor Claudia Rinaldi said. "It was impressive to see our students reach the expected state standards so early in their program through the direct support of our faculty and the Harvard Agile Teacher Lab faculty."
Meaghan Csongor was also honored at Lasell during the Fall 2020 semester as a member of the Dean's List.
Alyssa Manoogian, from Peabody, graduated with a Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Sciences (Coaching Education) from Ohio University's Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education in Fall 2020.
More than 2,300 students graduated with bachelor's, master's or doctorate degrees from Ohio University for fall semester 2020.
Samuel Gottsegen, of Peabody, was named to the Dean's List for Fall 2020 at Hartford University.
Shelby McKie, of Peabody, earned Dean's List honors at The University of Tampa for the Fall 2020 semester. McKie is a senior majoring in advertising and public relations.
Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
Cara Olendzenski, of Peabody, was named to the fall 2020 dean's list at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
