Peabody Summer Concert Series Continues On Sunday

From The City of Peabody:Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr. is proud to announce that Renee and the Renegades will be playing at this year’s Free Summer Concert Series at Leather City Common. The concert is scheduled for Sunday evening, August 12th at 6:00 pm and is expected to run until 8:00 pm.
The Summer Concert Series is a community tradition we look forward to each year,” said Mayor Bettencourt. “We have a few of our favorite bands returning this year with some new groups added to the mix as well.” Renee and the Renegades is a country band from the Greater Boston and North Shore area, featuring Renee Danielle Leavitt, who writes her own songs. Concert goers should expect to hear Renee’s originals as well as some of her favorite covers, that range anywhere from rock to bluegrass tunes. Band members are lead singer Renee Danielle Leavitt, guitarist Arthur Zervas, multi-instrumentalist Carl Mesrobian, drummer Glenn Butler, pianist William Yates and saxophone player Sulaymaan Miles. Ipswich Ale Brewery will be on hand serving up their delicious craft beer and food will be served by one of Peabody’s favorite local dining establishments.
The Leather City Common is located at 53 Lowell Street across from Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Hall. Ample parking is available on Railroad Avenue or in the parking lot behind the AOH. The concert is free and open to the public.
