Peabody Summer Concert Series To Feature 'Mystical Magic'

The newly formed band is led by Ted Solovicos, whose former band once opened for Bon Jovi.

PEABODY, MA – Mystical Magic, a newly formed band by North Shore musical force Ted Solovicos, will be the third concert in the Peabody Summer Concert Series. The concert will be on Sunday, July 23, at 6 p.m. at the Leather City Common. Ipswich Ale Brewery will be on site again selling beer.

Solovicos was the leader of Smuggler, which was consistently featured on WBCN, and opened for Bon Jovi in 1984, according to a press release from Mayor Ted Bettencourt's office. Rosemarie Rose joins Mystical Magic with vocals, and keyboardist Steve Coffill playing parts of the orchestra behind the band.

Mystical Magic plays songs by Fleetwood Mac, Talking Heads, Grand Funk Railroad along with the Beatles, Moody Blues, Kinks and many other favorite tunes from the sixties, seventies and eighties.

The concert is free and open to the public. Participants can bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics.
