Serious Peabody Traffic Trouble In Several Spots Thursday

There are several areas of the city to avoid traveling if you don't have lots of time to spare on Thursday.

PEABODY, MA — Typical Peabody traffic is a little extra troublesome on Thursday because of construction.

Peabody police are advising residents to stay clear of some areas where traffic is delayed or roads are closed.

Summit Street, which is closed from Lynnfield Street to Forest Street. Drivers are asked to avoid Lynnfield and Summit streets.

Drivers are also urged to avoid the area around Lowell Street near Route 128 west toward Prospect Street.

"Expect heavy traffic delays in these areas," Peabody police said.
