Peabody Warren Street House Fire Reaches 3 Alarms
Smoke filled the late-day summer sky in Peabody Wednesday as crews responded to a fire in a three-story home on Warren Street.

PEABODY, MA — It was a hot and smoky scene on Warren Street in Peabody Wednesday night as fire tore through a three-story home.
The fire reached three alarms shortly after 7 p.m. as crews from Peabody and neighboring cities and towns — including Lynn — battled the blaze.
Several reports said the three-family home was unoccupied.

"I do know that the neighboring homes also received some damage and that the homes were evacuated right away," Kasey Herrera, who said she lives about eight houses down from the engulfed home, told Patch Wednesday night.
Several fire photographers drawn to the scene posted photos of residents lined up at a distance down the street watching crews trying to knock down the fire.

The fire burned past 9 p.m. before crews were able to get it under control.
They remained on scene well into the night battling hot spots at the building that was described as "completely destroyed."
