Peabody Winter Storm: Snow Emergency Parking Ban Rescinded

All vehicles were ordered off the street Tuesday in a non-parking order that was rescinded after eight hours at 9 p.m.

PEABODY, MA — A snow emergency parking ban called for Peabody on Tuesday was rescinded at 8 p.m. after only about 3 inches of snow fell in the city.

During the street parking ban, vehicles could be moved to Foster Street Lot, Central Street Lot, Nichols Street Lot and the Mill Street Parking Lot.

Vehicles must be removed within two hours of the conclusion of the parking ban.

Any vehicle left in the lots after that time were subject to ticketing and towing to allow for snow removal in the lots.

The "Stop the Spread" free drive-thru coronavirus testing at Salem High School Tuesday night was canceled. Free testing continued at the walk-in site at Salem's Old Town Hall during the day.
