Peabody's Paulina Straticos Earns Cara E. Murtagh Scholarship
The scholarship is in memory of the Peabody High superintendent who died unexpectedly in 2019.

PEABODY, MA — The Peabody Education Foundation unanimously selected Paulina Straticos as the recipient of this year's Cara E. Murtagh Memorial Scholarship in honor of the late Peabody Superintendent of Schools.
Straticos was chosen based on her accomplishments in the areas of academics, leadership, community service and interest in a career in education.
The scholarship was established following Murtagh's unexpected death in 2019 in honor of her memory, her dedication and commitment to education and her love for the children of Peabody.

"Cara will always be remembered," the foundation said, "for her kind and loving personality, her enthusiasm and flawless attention to detail, and ability to develop strong relationships with students, teachers and administrators.
"Paulina possesses the same passion for education and will clearly follow the career path she has chosen. She will be a strong advocate for all children and will impart the importance of a good education on every child she encourages."
