Police Release Findings In Accident Involving Peabody Firefighter
Beverly Police released the preliminary findings in the accident that resulted in the death of a Peabody firefighter.

BEVERLY, MA – Police released the findings from the preliminary investigation into the July 29 crash that reportedly caused life threatening injuries to Peabody Firefighter Daniel Pimenta.
Authorities responded to a car crash involving a bicyclist on July 29, around 4:30 p.m. on Hale Street. Pimenta was transported to Beverly Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"Based on preliminary investigation, it appears the cyclist was traveling southbound on Hale Street, the operator of the Jeep was traveling northbound," wrote Beverly Police Officer and Spokesman Mike Boccuzzi. "The cyclist was taking a drink of water from a water bottle and veered into the northbound lane and into the path of the Jeep."
