PEABODY, MA — Those traveling down Route 128 South midday may have to leave some extra time to get through the Danvers and Peabody stretch next week.

The state Department of Transportation said the right lane will be temporarily closed between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. The closure will be between Endicott Street and Route 114.

"These temporary traffic impacts are necessary to allow construction to remove and reset temporary barriers in preparation for the upcoming stage 3 construction operations," the DOT said in a statement.
