The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from June 25-26.
Tuesday, June 25
- 2:17 p.m. a caller reported a theft of medication on Laurel Street. An officer reports that a family member took a half bottle of her mother's Oxycontin prescription.Â
- 2:45 p.m. J.C. Penney reported a shoplifter on Andover Street. Police arrested George Elhhelou, 29, of 183 Highland Ave., Somerville, and Norman Jimenez, 34, of 133 Walnut st., Apt. 3, Malden. Both were charged with shoplifting by concealing over $100.Â
- 7:07 p.m. a caller reported that someone broke her expensive dog bowl on Central Street.Â
- 8:17 p.m. a manager at CVS reports that five kids just sprayed silly string across throughout the entire store and is now in the parking lot spraying water around. An officer spoke to the kids.Â
- 10:15 p.m. a caller reported there were four teens hiding in the bushes and scoping out the vacant house in the area. An officer was unable to locate the teens in question.Â
- 11:39 p.m. a caller reported four males in a silver vehicle that threw an object out the window that caused a small explosion. The caller said the object was something that was wrapped in tin foil that left a burn mark on her lawn on Louis Road.Â
Wednesday, June 26
- 10:18 a.m. a caller reported that trucks from the cemetery pulled wires out of his house on Cedar Grove Avenue, which made four holes on the left side.Â
- 1:47 p.m. an officer reported a motor vehicle accident on Lowell Street.Â
