STATE CHAMPS: Bishop Fenwick Blows By Northbridge in Super Bowl

The Crusaders defeated Northbridge, 28-0, to win the Division 5 state title Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

It was total domination for Bishop Fenwick on Super Bowl Saturday and the Crusaders plowed right through Northbridge, 28-0, for the Division 5 state title.

Fenwick went undefeated the entire season and showed up hungry for a title at Gillette Stadium Saturday night to ultimately make it 13-0.

Senior Rufus Rushins rushed for most of the Crusaders' yardage and scored three touchdowns. Eric Razney got things started early in the first quarter with a 40-yard TD off quarterback Nick Bona. Bona was also stellar on defense for the night.

The first half ended with Fenwick up 14-0 thanks to Rushins' first TD of the game plus a 2-point conversion. Rushins then made it 20-0 in the third with a 49-yard TD and Kyle Russell kicked in the extra point.

Rushins then powered in another TD with about 4 minutes left in the third, another good kick made it 28-0 and Northbridge was unable to put anything on the scoreboard.
