Sullivan Tire Takes Over Peabody Location
Sullivan Tire and Auto Service will acquire the former Direct Tire locations in Peabody and Medway as of May 11.
PEABODY, MA — An auto repair shop in Peabody will have a new look as Sullivan Tire and Auto Service takes over the operation of the Direct Tire location.
Sullivan Tire will also take over operations of Direct Tire location in Medway as part of the acquisition, while the flagship Watertown location will retain the Direct Tire name under the direction of longtime manager Bob Lane, as of May 11.
Sullivan Tire and Auto Service will then have 75 locations in Greater Boston and around the region New England, including one other location in Peabody.

The businesses said in a joint statement that Sullivan Tire and the late Barry Steinberg, owner of Direct Tire, had a long relationship dating back decades.
"Barry was always highly respected in the community and in the industry, and he was a steadfast supporter of taking care of customers and employees, which have always been top priorities of Sullivan Tire," said Paul Sullivan, Vice President of Marketing. "We hope to retain all employees to carry on the tradition of excellence that customers have come to expect."
