YMCA of Metro North Appoints New Chief Financial Officer
The YMCA of Metro North is pleased to welcome Lisa Ferraro to the association.
The YMCA of Metro North announced the appointment of Lisa Ferraro as the association’s new Chief Financial Officer. Ferraro is a certified public accountant and comes to the YMCA of Metro North with almost two decades of experience in the financial industry, including 18 years at tonneson + co., a Wakefield-based accounting firm. She most recently held the position of Audit Managing Director, and supervised teams tasked with building collaborative partnerships with clients.
“We are thrilled to welcome a seasoned financial executive like Lisa to our Senior Leadership Team,” said Kathleen Walsh, President and CEO, YMCA of Metro North. “Lisa’s vast experience with nonprofit finance makes her the right person to keep us in a strong financial position as we continue to expand our programs, services, and bring our new facility in Lynn online in November 2020.”
Ferraro will oversee all aspects of the YMCA of Metro North’s financial operations. She succeeds Betsy LaFontaine, who retired in December after over 30 years with the YMCA.

Ferraro received her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Economics from Salem State University. She has been certified as a public accountant with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 2014. She lives in Danvers, Mass.
