3 Plymouth Marinas Win 2020 Boater's Choice Awards

PLYMOUTH, MA—Three Plymouth Marinas have won a 2020 Boater's Choice Award, the honor given to marinas which boaters rated highest throughout the year.

Safe Harbor Plymouth, Plymouth Yacht Club, and Plymouth Town Wharf and Moorings were all chosen to receive the award. All three marinas had at least five reviews in 2020 and at least a four star rating on Marinas.com.

"Every marina is eligible to earn a Boater's Choice Award, which is based on the number of reviews and average star-rating on Marinas.com," said a press release from Marinas.com. "Because the award relies on reviews submitted throughout a marina's season, all boaters had an equal opportunity to determine the outcome of the Boater's Choice Awards and marinas were assessed based on an unbiased measurement of their standing in the boating community."

This year, 366 businesses received the award, up 61% from last year, and 90 of them received the Elite Fleet status, up 73% from last year. Reaching Elite Fleet status means a marina had at least 10 reviews and 4.8 stars, and both Safe Harbor Plymouth and Plymouth Yacht Club received this honor in 2020.

"The even more prestigious Elite Fleet tier recognizes marinas that went above and beyond to provide near-flawless experiences to their boaters," says the press release.

"The growth of marinas qualifying for Elite Fleet status represents a continuing positive trend in marina industry, as more marinas recognize the power of customer reviews to attract new boaters and to motivate staff to provide the best possible customer service," it continues.

The 2020 recipients of the Boater's Choice Award include a diverse range of marina businesses in many different locations, including Puget Sound and the British Virgin Islands. Those who won represent the top 4% of highest-rated marinas.
