Bay Players of Duxbury to present "The Savannah Sipping Society"

A delightful, laugh-a-minute play, about four Southern women reclaiming their lives. Beer & wine will be served at all performances.

THE BAY PLAYERS OF DUXBURY are pleased to announce their upcoming production of THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY, by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten, opening Friday, February 21, and running for four performances through Saturday, February 29. Grab a drink and come for an evening of raucous comedy and heartwarming moments (beer & wine will be served at all performances)!

In this delightful, laugh-a-minute play, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate (and an impromptu happy hour) and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Over the course of six months - filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment - these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jump start their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships, a renewed determination to live in the moment and, most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends.

THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY features performers from the South Shore region, including East Bridgewater resident Cara Lee Chamberlain, Rockland resident Bonnie Gardner, Pembroke resident Carol Mirotta, and Plymouth resident Nancy Haywood Semcken.
