Bus Service company reveals reopening plans
The bus service company, Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company has recently stated that they will resume service starting on May 14. However, they have told the Boston Globe that the service will be limited.
The company’s CEO, Win Sargent told the Boston Globe that the company will offer service in between Hyannis and Boston while also making stops along the South Shore and later at South Station and Logan Airport.
Sargent also told the Boston Globe that the trips will depend on the demands made by commuters and that the feedback received from customers has indicated considerable interest in having the service resume.

The company has revealed new designs being made to the buses, which will further draw in passengers, including a new fleet of vehicles. The new changes being made are advanced safety measures, including anti-collision technology as well as upgraded Wi-Fi and other technology. They also possess an advanced air purification system, which disinfects the buses, a feature that’s important during the pandemic-era.
The company has invested over $14 million dollars in the new fleet as a part of their plans for expansion. Tickets for the buses will also be made available starting on May 1 with no mention of any change in fees.
