Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 14
The Lions are hosting a pancake breakfast today.

1. All are welcome to the Plymouth Lions Club’s pancake breakfast from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 14, at St. Peter Parish Center in Plymouth. Donation is $5.
2. YMCA Camp Clark is holding a babysitting class Monday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The class is for 11-15 year olds, and will follow the Red Cross curriculum. Cost of the class is $75, and that will cover the course and required manual, which will be provided.
3. Cape Downwinders will host an informational meeting that will focus on “The Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station and the Threat to Cape Cod.” It will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library, 19 Sandwich Road, Bourne. The nuclear power plant in Plymouth will be discussed to include facts regarding operational history, nuclear waste storage, environmental and health concerns, the lessons learned from Fukushima and the lack of any emergency plan for Cape Cod.

4. Eagles Sports Camp will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during April vacation week, April 16-19, at PCIS. The camp is open to all students in grades 1-8. Lunch is included. This is a Plymouth North Booster fundraiser to benefit the football program. Enjoy games and gym activities, such as basketball, football, whiffleball, kickball, asteriods, ring hockey, soccer, etc. The camp director is Kevin Cobban, head football coach and PCIS physical education teacher. The cost is $125 per person, $100 for the second household member or $35 per day; walk-ins are welcome. Email Cobban at kcobban@plymouth.k12.ma.us for more information.
