Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 17

Looking for some things to keep the kids occupied during April Vacation. Here's a list of activities all week.

3. The Evening Garden Club of Plymouth will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the John Alden Sportsman Club, 16 Minuteman Lane, Plymouth. The speaker for the evening will be Melissa Pace, an award-winning horticulturist. Her one-acre gardens has been featured on the Master Gardeners association “ Gardening with the Masters” tour. She will talk on “How to Get The Most Out of Your Plants; Improving Your Garden Soil.” Come and learn the ten steps in beginning or improving a garden through improving garden soil. 4. The Manomet Village Steering Committee will meet at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at the Mayflower II Room, Town Hall. This meeting is at the request of Tidmarsh Farms and dedicated entirely to a televised presentation of their research, investigations, designs, progress and status of a headwater recovery, two hundred acre wetland restoration, conversion brooks to cold water fisheries
and groundwater quality preservation.
