Five Things You Need to Know Today: Baseball and a Pig Roast

Here are all the things you ought to know today, Wednesday, June 12.

1. The Plymouth Pilgrims baseball team is hosting Sensational Senior Night sponsored by Comfort Keepers tonight. Tonight only, the team will pay all seniors (with an I.D.) $1 to attend the game. See the Pilgrims take on the Ocean State Waves. First pitch at 6:30 p.m. at Forges Field. Get there early for the best seats.

2. Alden Park Bar & Grill is hosting a Father's Day pig roast Sunday, June 16 from noon to 6 p.m. to support the Plymouth Education Foundation. Get your tickets at the restaurant.

3. Pilgrim Hall Museum’s major fundraiser of the year, “Green Pastures, Bluegrass and BBQ,” will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at 75 Court St. Dress in casual Western attire and enjoy BBQ catered by Truman’s Catering and live music by Four Bridges. Then get ready to bid on auction items with auctioneer, Rep. Vinny deMacedo. All proceeds support the mission of education and preservation. Tickets are $75 each or $675 for a table of 10. 4. Student registration is now open for The Audition, by Don Zolidis, June 17-27, directed by Geronimo Sands and Holly Stanford. Students will meet daily after school from 4 to 7:30 p.m. to develop performance skills, train and rehearse on PBT’s new outdoor stage under the tent. Performances of The Audition are June 28-29 and July 5-6.
