Five Things You Need to Know Today: Father's Day

1. Looking for some last-minute Father's Day presents? Try these suggestions.
2. The Plymouth Women of the Moose are holding a car wash from 9 a.m. to noon, Sunday, June 16 with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life Walk later this month. The Plymouth Women of the Moose are asking for a minimum donation of $5 per vehicle; all Plymouth Moose members who are fathers will be eligible to receive a free car wash in honor of Father's Day. The Plymouth Women of the Moose have organized a team to walk during the June 21-22 Relay for Life at Plymouth South High School. Team "Moose Tracks" has been raising money for this event. 3. The third annual Panther Basketball School will be held at Plymouth South Middle School from July 15 to 18. The camp is open to all boys entering grades 4-9 in the fall. The school runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day with coaching by the Plymouth South coaching staff. The camp director is Plymouth South Boys Basketball Head Coach David Costa. Pilgrim Hall Museum’s major fundraiser of the year, “Green Pastures, Bluegrass and BBQ,” will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at 75 Court St. Dress in casual Western attire and enjoy BBQ catered by Truman’s Catering and live music by Four Bridges. Then get ready to bid on auction items with auctioneer, Rep. Vinny deMacedo. All proceeds support the mission of education and preservation. Tickets are $75 each or $675 for a table of 10.
