Five Things You Need to Know Today: Pig Roast and a Car Wash for Dad

Here's what you ought to know for June 15.

1. The second annual Health and Wellness Fair to be held on June 15 at Pilgrim Memorial Park. Vinfen Corporation, a leading non-profit provider of mental health services in the Plymouth area, will host its second annual Health and Wellness Fair at Pilgrim Memorial Park, located near Plymouth Rock. The fair will be held Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the general public.

2. The Plymouth Women of the Moose are holding a car wash from 9 a.m. to noon, Sunday, June 16 with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life Walk later this month. The Plymouth Women of the Moose are asking for a minimum donation of $5 per vehicle; all Plymouth Moose members who are fathers will be eligible to receive a free car wash in honor of Father's Day. The Plymouth Women of the Moose have organized a team to walk during the June 21-22 Relay for Life at Plymouth South High School.  Team "Moose Tracks" has been raising money for this event.  You can donate online via this secure website.

3. Alden Park Bar & Grill is hosting a Father's Day pig roast Sunday, June 16 from noon to 6 p.m. to support the Plymouth Education Foundation. Get your tickets at the restaurant.

4. Pilgrim Hall Museum’s major fundraiser of the year, “Green Pastures, Bluegrass and BBQ,” will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at 75 Court St. Dress in casual Western attire and enjoy BBQ catered by Truman’s Catering and live music by Four Bridges. Then get ready to bid on auction items with auctioneer, Rep. Vinny deMacedo. All proceeds support the mission of education and preservation. Tickets are $75 each or $675 for a table of 10.
