Get Lucky With An Adopted Black Kitty In Plymouth

The Plymouth Animal Shelter is asking those interested in adopting a shelter cat to consider an often-bypassed fur color.

PLYMOUTH, MA — This could be your lucky day if you opt to adopt a black cat. The Plymouth Animal Shelter said statistically those adopting a shelter cat are less likely to choose a black kitty, but the shelter is asking those considering a new feline friend to consider an often-forgotten fur color.

"We along with many other shelters have a hard time getting black cats adopted, simply because of the way they look. Which honestly is just sad, because they're really sweet cats," the Plymouth Animal Shelter posted on their Facebook page.

It just so happens that the Plymouth Animal Shelter has a cuddly black kitty named Spooky ready for adoption.

"Spooky is a beautiful 2 year old female who loves to play and snuggle. She is great with kids but would prefer a home without other animals. She just wants to be your princess!" the shelter posted.
