Hingham Boys Lacrosse Wins Patriot Cup Against Duxbury, 11-10
Hingham will be looking to build on the Championship when they play in the MIAA Tournament.
HINGHAM,MA- The Hingham Harbormen Boys Lacrosse team faced the Duxbury Dragons on Tuesday Afternoon for the Patriot Cup Championship.
In the first quarter, Hingham’s Owen Hoffman scored the first goal of the game. Then Will Nolan of Duxbury tied the game up at 1. Then, Charlie Crean and Cian Nicholas scored the next two goals for Hingham. But, Duxbury clapped back by scores by Ryan Nagle and Delby Lemieux and tied the game at 3 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Nagle and Lemieux both scored their second goals of the game to make it 5-3. Then, Nagle scored his third goal of the game to extend Duxbury’s lead to 6-3. Hingham fought back when Crean and Paul Forbes scored the only two goals of the quarter to make it 6-5 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Lars Osterberg tied the game at 6 for Hingham for the first goal of the second half. Then Crean’s third goal of the game got Hingham the lead back when it was 7-6. Next, Duxbury’s Wyatt Glass tied it up at 7 with 6:17 left in the quarter. Finally, Hoffman and Charlie Packard scored the last two goals to make it 9-7 at the end of the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, Duxbury’s Will McDonough scored the first goal of the quarter for Duxbury. Then Neagle tied the game at 9 with 5:43 remaining in regulation. Next, Nicholas and Crean scored the next two goals for Hingham to make it 11-9. Duxbury’s Will Nolan scored the next goal for Duxbury with 20.3 seconds left. Hingham could not score another goal as Hingham won 11-10 against Duxbury.

The Hingham Harbormen are now the Patriot Cup Champions for Boys Lacrosse. Hingham will face Framingham at home in the first round of the MIAA Division 1 South Sectional Tournament on Saturday, June 19th at 1 p.m. Duxbury will face King Phillip out of Wrentham on Monday, June 21st at 5:30 p.m.
