Jordan Hospital Honors Employees

Jordan Hospital honored two employees for their dedication at an award ceremony at the Plymouth Yacht Club.

Jordan Hospital held its 15th Annual Peter Chapman Award and the first Starthrower Recognition Award Ceremony in May at the Plymouth Yacht Club. Each award is given to one outstanding employee who exemplifies the Core Values of the hospital—integrity, respect, trust, teamwork, and excellence. The event was a success, with more than 90 employees in attendance in support of the nominees and winners.

The Peter Chapman Award was given to Susan West, a parenting education coordinator at Jordan for more than 30 years. West was selected for her community service, dedication and enthusiastic support of the hospital, as well as her competent and caring role within the organization.

The Starthrower Recognition Award was given to social worker Pamela Alves. Alves was selected out of 500 submissions received throughout 2011. This award was given to Pamela for going above and beyond in her role. This was the first time the award has been given and the hospital plans on making it an annual award.
