Layoffs are looming at Jordan Hospital.

The hospital is reportedly closing one of its inpatient floors as part of a consolidation plan, according to WATD.

The third floor of the East Wing is expected to be shut down over the next couple of weeks, and patients there will be moved to other floors.

The hospital says it’s the result of healthcare reform initiatives that have reduced both the number of patients and the rate of federal reimbursement.

A Jordan official says it’s unclear at this point how many hospital workers face layoffs.
