Person Fatally Struck By Commuter Rail Train In Hanson

HANSON, MA — A person is dead after being struck by a Commuter Rail train near the Hanson station. Transit police said Wednesday morning a male, whose age is unknown, was struck by the inbound Kingston/Plymouth train while on the tracks near the Main Street station.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating, but said foul play is not suspected.

Regular service resumed on the Kingston/Plymouth line shortly before 9 a.m.
