Plymouth County Jail Inmate Dies at Jordan Hospital

An inmate at Plymouth County Correctional Facility died Aug. 8 at Jordan Hospital, after being transported from the jail with apparent self-inflicted injuries.

Joshua Charles, 22, of North Plymouth, was found unresponsive in his single cell shortly after noon, according to a release from the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department. 

Charles was being held without bail on breaking and entering charges resulting from his arrest last month in Attleboro.

An investigation of the death is being conducted by the Plymouth County District Attorney and the Massachusetts State Police.
