The event will take place Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Plymouth Police Department.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth Fire Department will be hosting this year's regional drug take-back event on Saturday, April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Plymouth Police Department, located at 20 Long Pond Road.

The event provides an opportunity for residents to dispose of any unwanted or expired prescription medications and sharps, which will be collected and subsequently processed by a machine capable of sterilizing needles and grinding them into harmless waste.

“I’m pleased to announce that we will once again be joining forces with Plymouth County Outreach, Plymouth Youth Development Collaborative and the Plymouth Area Substance Use Prevention Collaborative to host a regional drug take-back event for the community,”said Chief G. Edward Bradley in a statement. “We encourage all of our residents to stop by and use this opportunity to safely dispose of sharps.”
