Plymouth Fire Scheduling Deferred Alarm Inspections

Homes in the town that were sold during the state's inspection deferral due to the coronavirus crisis, must now be completed.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth home buyers who received a deferral of their smoke and carbon monoxide detector inspections during the first three months of the coronavirus crisis are advised that state order deferring the inspections has expired and that the inspection now must be scheduled.

Inspections must take place before the sale or transfer of any home. Any home sold during the deferral period must be inspected within 90 days of July 10.

Those who bought a home or represented a buyer in purchasing a home in Plymouth during this time period should contact the Plymouth Fire Department Prevention and Code Enforcement Office at 508-830-4213 ext. 105 to schedule your inspection to comply with state law.
