Woman Trapped In Vehicle During Plymouth Flooding

Plymouth flooding: a half-foot of snow just before high tide flooded roads and caused crashes across the region.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Flooding in Plymouth trapped a woman in her vehicle on Warren Avenue Tuesday morning, according to reports. Firefighters reportedly responded to the scene to rescue the woman. The incident was reported at about 10 a.m. during high tide after about a half-foot of snow fell on the region.

The woman became stuck in her vehicle in about a foot of water at the entrance to Plymouth Beach, according to the Patriot Ledger. She was not injured.

Flooding also affected part of Route 3A in Plymouth. State Police reported the section of the road between Ryder Way and Clifford Road was closed and detours were established.

A flood warning is in effect for Plymouth through noon. The snow was expected to stop around 1 p.m.

Plymouth schools had a delayed opening Tuesday due to the snow.
