New England is known for its fresh catch, and Plymouth can hold its head up high knowing that one of its seafood restaurants is among the top 10 clam shacks in the region.
WCVBÂ Channel 5 asked its Facebook fans to vote for their favorite place to get fried clams. Submissions ranged from shacks in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine to the Cape, but two Plymouth "shacks" made it in the top 20.Â
The Lobster Hut was voted into the 12 spot, while Wood's Seafood is number 9, just behind the Clam Box on Wollaston Beach in Quincy. Kool Kone in Wareham was voted third. The number one spot was taken by the Clam Box in Ipswitch.Â
