Plymouth Power Outages: 2,000+ Still Affected
A wind storm with 70 mph gusts knocked out power to more than 300,000 across Eastern Massachusetts Monday.

PLYMOUTH, MA — More than 2,000 were still without power in Plymouth late Monday night after a wind storm tore through the region. As of 11:45 p.m., there were 2,105 still without power in Plymouth, according to Eversource. That figure represents 7 percent of town. Power was expected to be restored by Tuesday night.
Plymouth, Cape Cod and New Bedford were among the hardest-hit areas. Statewide, there were 179,193 still without power late Monday night, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.
"Our crews will continue working around the clock until all power is restored," Eversource said in a statement. "We appreciate everyone's patience while we make repairs."

Plymouth schools were closed Monday and expected to reopen Tuesday.
