Plymouth School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Plymouth is August 30 for grades 1-12 and August 31 for preschool and kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Plymouth School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 8/29: First Day for Teachers
• 8/30: First Day for Grades 1-12
• 8/31: First Day for Preschool and Kindergarten

September

• 9/1 - 9/4: No School (Labor Day Weekend)
• 9/20: Half Day of School

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Professional Development)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/18: Half Day of School

November

• 11/10: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/15: Half Day of School
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/6: Grades K-8 Half Day of School
• 12/13: Grades K-8 Half Day of School
• 12/22: Half Day of School
• 12/25 - 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)
• 1/24: Half Day of School

February

• 2/14: Half Day of School
• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (Winter Break)

March

• 3/7: Half Day of School
• 3/21: Grades K-8 Half Day of School
• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

• 4/11: Half Day of School
• 4/16 - 4/20: No School (Spring Recess)

• 5/16: Half Day of School
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

• 6/2: Graduation Day
• 6/14: Last Day of School, Half Day
