Plymouth To Shift Downtown To One-Way Traffic Starting Friday

Reconfiguration is to open room for expanded outdoor dining near the waterfront due to coronavirus health restrictions.

PLYMOUTH, MA — Plymouth will go one-way downtown in an attempt to steer residents and tourists toward the expanded outdoor dining options near the waterfront.

The new traffic pattern will begin on Friday and will continue until further notice.

The Plymouth Recovery Task Force devised the plan to assist local businesses with economic recovery as outdoor dining is allowed, and indoor restaurant capacity is limited by social distancing restrictions.

Jersey barriers will be used to create a pedestrian corridor on the east side, while existing parking spaces on the west side of Court Street and Main Street will remain available.
