Plymouth Weekend Agenda: Holy Ghost Festa and Agatha Christie's 'The Mousetrap'

- Hat Trick Theatre presents Agatha Christie's The Mouse Trap: Now in its 61st year in London’s West End, it will be brought to the stage in downtown Plymouth starting July 19. Performances will be at 8 p.m. July 19-20 and 25-27; at 7 p.m. July 21 and 28, in Kendall Hall at First Parish Church, located at 19 Town Square. - Harbor Market Days: The Saturday Plymouth Harbor Market Days farmers’ market is held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 1820 Courthouse Green in Plymouth.
From 3 to 7 p.m. every Friday throughout the summer, local vendors will be lined up outside The Market at The Pinehills for “The Market at The Market.” This farmers’ market is presented by Plymouth Harbor Market Days. - Priscilla Beach Theatre presents Fairy Tale Courtroom: Priscilla Beach Theatre will present Fairy Tale Courtroom, by Dana Proulx, a lively comedy telling the other side of familiar fairy tales as villains, the Big Bad Wolf and the Wicked Witch, are brought to trial. Co-directors are PBT Artistic Director Marnie Almirall and Geronimo Sands, artistic director emeritus. - The Americana Theatre Company, a Plymouth professional summer theatre, will perform J.B. Priestly’s An Inspector Calls, a suspense thriller, and Redeeming Love, adapted from the Francine Rivers bestseller, in July at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, located at 11 North St. Tickets for the shows are $25 each with group discounts available. - Doggie Fun & Fitness Center open house: Family Fun Day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at 47 Marion Drive, Kingston. The event is open to the public. There will be dog training and agility demonstrations, as well as activities for the kids, including a moonwalk, slip ‘n slide and dunk tank. Donations will be accepted for the Friends of the Plymouth Pound. Last year more than $2,000 was raised, enough to spay/neuter 10 dogs before they went to their forever homes. - Holy Ghost Festa: The Holy Ghost Festa will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 21, with a procession from the Young America Club on Ocean View Avenue in Plymouth, along Standish Avenue, down Hamilton Street to St. Mary Church for the 10:30 a.m. Mass. After Mass, the procession will continue to Holy Ghost Field on Cherry Street. From 12:30 to 6 p.m. there will be Portuguese foods, and from 1 to 6 p.m. the traditional auction, Portuguese dance group and music man Johnny Souza.
- Plymouth South Jaguars football and cheerleading signups will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Plymouth Moose Lodge on Route 3A in Manomet.
Last chance to sign up for Plymouth South Jaguars cheerleading. Sign up by Aug. 1. Mandatory cheer camp will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 5-7 at Plymouth South Middle School. There will be a parent meeting Aug. 7 immediately following camp.
