- Phase 2 includes individuals 65+ (with those over 75 being a priority) and those with 2+ comorbidities. The last step of Phase 2 will include education, food service and others. Those eligible at that time should contact their primary care physicians. (More information here: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-vaccine-distribution-timeline-phase-overview)
- The Plymouth Public Health Department is currently working on a plan to ensure homebound individuals eligible in Phase 2 will receive the vaccination. Details will be made available once established.
- The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has not determined that local health departments will be involved with additional vaccine administration prior to the general public in Phase 3 of the State’s distribution plan, but that is subject to change.
- The state is in the process of setting up vaccination sites at numerous locations. The state expects to have a total of 165 vaccination sites available to the public by mid-February. Once the MA Department of Public Health has established the vaccination sites, it will publicize their locations, and the Plymouth Public Health Department will post the information.
- At this time, there is no wait-list for future vaccinations.
In the meantime, please continue to practice all safety measures such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, avoid social gatherings and frequent handwashing.
